On September 12, 2024, the Press Institute's Board of Directors convened to review the half-year activity report and budget performance. The Board approved the plan and budget for the third quarter.
During the first half of 2024, the Institute successfully organized fifteen long- and short-term training courses for journalists and media workers, held thirteen meetings and discussions, conducted ten research projects, and developed and published five books and manuals. These initiatives were funded by the Press Institute and supported by partners such as Internews/Earth Journalism Network, UNESCO, Save the Children, the Asia Foundation/USAID, and IREX.
In the third quarter of 2024, key activities will include the continuation of the IREX/USAID-supported National Investigative Journalism Fellowship, a capacity-building program for foreign news journalists and reviewers, and the release of a research report analyzing the last 10 years of Mongolian media. The Board supported these and 14 other planned initiatives, offering advice and guidance on specific tasks for the upcoming quarter.
